US Election Update: In the "swing state" of Michigan, over 3.3 million voters have cast their ballots, with a turnout rate of 45.8%

ChainCatcher news, according to CNN, the election day in the key "swing state" of Michigan has started smoothly, according to the office of Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.

Officials stated that there have been no reports of significant voting issues or large-scale lines in the state, nor any reports of weather-related incidents or polling place closures.

So far today, 8,000 absentee ballots have been returned, and more than 820 people have registered to vote through Michigan's same-day voter registration option.

The Secretary of State's office reported that as of today, over 3.3 million voters in Michigan have cast their votes through early in-person voting and absentee voting, with a turnout rate of 45.8%.
