Republican Dave McCormick wins Pennsylvania Senate seat

ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, Republican Dave McCormick defeated incumbent Democrat Bob Casey in Pennsylvania to win a Senate seat. Currently, the Republicans have at least 53 seats, with two more elections to come—Arizona and Nevada—although the two Democratic candidates running for these seats are currently in the lead.

It is reported that McCormick has the support of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and has openly supported the cryptocurrency industry, although he has not received support from any major cryptocurrency-affiliated PACs.
