Data: CEX Bitcoin wallet balance has dropped to its lowest point in nearly a year, with a net outflow of 47,000 bitcoins in the past 7 days

ChainCatcher news, according to Coinglass data, the balance of Bitcoin wallets on centralized exchanges (CEX) has dropped to its lowest level in nearly a year. As of January 7, CEX holds a total of 2,199,387.25 Bitcoins, down approximately 17.6% from 2,662,300 Bitcoins on January 6, 2024.

In the past 7 days, CEX has seen a cumulative net outflow of 47,127.60 Bitcoins, with the top three CEXs by outflow being:

  1. Bitfinex: outflow of 29,690.88 BTC;
  2. Coinbase Pro: outflow of 9,368.86 BTC;
  3. Binance: outflow of 7,136.79 BTC.
