Latest Ethereum ACDE Conference: Discussion on Pectra Devnet 5 Release and Mainnet Upgrade Plan

ChainCatcher news, Galaxy's Vice President of Research Christine Kim summarized the 203rd Ethereum Core Developers Execution (ACDE) call, which discussed the release and specification updates of Pectra Devnet 5, the testing plan for increased gas fee limits on the Holesky testnet, RPC standardization efforts, and minimum node hardware and bandwidth requirements.

EF Developer Operations Engineer Parithosh Jayanthi mentioned that a gas fee estimation issue was discovered on Devnet 5 and plans to collect logs to share in the R&D Discord channel. Developers also reached a preliminary consensus on several EIP updates and established a timeline for the Pectra upgrade testnet and mainnet, aiming to complete the mainnet upgrade by March 2025.
