ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, who was kidnapped and illegally detained for eight months in Nigeria, has been recommended for multiple positions in the Trump administration, such as the SEC's crypto assets chief or a leadership role in the FBI's cyber division. Sources revealed that the recommendations made to Trump's transition team came from individuals associated with Trump's participation in the Bitcoin 2024 Nashville conference, including the event's organizer David Bailey and Kraken's head of strategic planning Tracy Hoyos-López.

Tigran Gambaryan stated that it would be an honor to serve his country again under the leadership of the new Trump administration in the fight against crypto crime. Gambaryan has served as Binance's head of financial crime compliance for the past two years, is a former federal agent, and was part of the federal government's early elite group of crypto trackers.
