Data: 51% of the global Generation Z (ages 18-29) hold or have held cryptocurrency
According to ChainCatcher, a recent survey by the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, as reported by Tokenpost, shows that 51% of Gen Z respondents (ages 18-29) globally indicate that they currently or have previously held cryptocurrency, significantly higher than the 35% of the general population.
The survey covered 6,000 respondents from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, and Turkey. Specific data reveals that 51% of Gen Z, 49% of millennials, and 29% of Gen X in the United States reported owning or having previously owned cryptocurrency.
Additionally, the survey found that 31% of Gen Z strongly supports increased government regulation of the cryptocurrency industry, compared to 46% of the general population.
