ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, the nonprofit watchdog organization Public Citizen has filed a formal complaint with the Department of Justice and the Office of Government Ethics, requesting a federal investigation into Trump's alleged promotion of the Solana ecosystem's TRUMP token.

The complaint points out that 80% of the token is held by Trump's affiliated company CIC Digital LLC, which may violate laws prohibiting gift solicitation and poses risks of untraceable foreign payments. Over the past week, possibly influenced by the trade war, the price of the TRUMP token has dropped by 32%.
