Kraken Research: 85% of cryptocurrency investors in the U.S. hold meme coins, with female investors slightly outnumbering male investors

According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by CoinDesk, a recent survey by the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken shows that 85% of U.S. cryptocurrency investors hold Meme coins, with 76% believing that the potential returns outweigh the risks. The survey found that 44% of cryptocurrency holders believe that Meme coins will enhance the credibility of the crypto market, and 42% expect Meme coins to outperform other crypto assets in 2025.

Data shows that FOMO is one of the main reasons investors purchase Meme coins. 29% of holders aim for short-term profits, while 23% see it as a diversification option for their portfolios. Notably, female investor participation is slightly higher than that of males, at 86% and 84%, respectively.
