The Supreme Court of Russia plans to improve relevant legislation to address the surge in cryptocurrency crimes

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, Irina Podnosova, the chairwoman of the Supreme Court of Russia, stated at the annual judges' meeting attended by President Putin that with the proliferation of cryptocurrency in the economy, there has been a significant increase in criminal cases involving digital currencies.

The Supreme Court is preparing new legislation to classify cryptocurrency as property in criminal cases.
