SBF has been transferred to a transit prison in Oklahoma City
ChainCatcher News, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has announced that Sam Bankman-Fried has been transferred to a transit prison in Oklahoma City. This measure was taken because he participated in an unauthorized remote video interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this month at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.
SBF has been moved to the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City, beginning the process of transferring him to a permanent prison to serve the remainder of his fraud sentence, with a release date set for November 17, 2044.
Previous news, former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried appeared on the Tucker Carlson podcast, but under normal circumstances, media interviews in U.S. federal prisons must be approved, and this interview was not authorized.
