The four-week average of initial jobless claims in the U.S. for the week ending April 12 was 220,750, with the previous value revised from 223,000 to 223,250.

The number of continuing jobless claims in the U.S. for the week ending April 5 was 1.885 million, expected to be 1.872 million, and the previous value was revised from 1.85 million to 1.844 million.
