Coinshares: Bitcoin's hash rate is expected to exceed 1 Zettahash per second as early as July, significantly ahead of previous forecasts
ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, based on Coinshares' latest report, the Bitcoin network's hash rate is expected to break the historic threshold of 1 Zettahash (ZH/s) as early as July this year, significantly ahead of previous predictions. This data confirms the strong growth momentum and risk resistance capability of the Bitcoin mining network.
The report further predicts that the Bitcoin hash rate will exceed 1.28 ZH/s by the end of 2025 and may reach 2.0 ZH/s in early 2027.
In addition, the report points out that a key indicator of miner profitability—the hash rate price—has seen a slight rebound this year, but it is predicted to enter a long-term structural downtrend. The report expects that before the Bitcoin halving cycle in 2028, the hash rate price will fluctuate within the range of $35-50 /PH/day, and will drop below $40 in the first quarter of 2026. This trend reflects the dual pressure of improved mining machine efficiency and intensified industry competition.
