U.S. Democratic Congressman Shri Thanedar proposed impeachment articles against Trump

ChainCatcher news, according to Axios, U.S. Democratic Representative Shri Thanedar from Michigan introduced seven articles of impeachment against Trump on Monday. The impeachment articles mainly involve charges of obstruction of justice, abuse of power, usurpation of authority, as well as bribery and corruption, primarily related to the concentration of presidential power and personal finances.

Thanedar stated in a declaration that Trump "is unfit to hold the office of president and poses a clear and present danger to the Constitution and democracy of the nation." Reports indicate that, due to the Republican Party currently controlling both the House and Senate, these impeachment measures are unlikely to pass.
