ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Immunefi, the crypto hacking incidents in April 2025 resulted in losses of up to $92 million for DeFi platforms, a 124% increase from $41 million in March. Among them, the open-source platform UPCX suffered an attack exceeding $70 million, making it the largest incident of the month; KiloEx was hacked with a loss of $7.5 million, but the hacker returned all the funds afterward.

The report noted that all attacks in April targeted DeFi platforms, with no security incidents reported by centralized exchanges. By the end of April, the cumulative losses from crypto hacking incidents in 2025 had reached $1.7 billion, surpassing the total of $1.49 billion for the entire year of 2024.

Mitchell Amador, founder of Immunefi, stated that state-sponsored hacker groups pose a major threat and recommended that protocols adopt a "zero trust" architecture to enhance security measures.
