ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, the vote to officially register the SpaceX Starship base in Boca Chica, Texas as the autonomous city "STARBASE" has passed with an overwhelming majority, with most of the 283 eligible voters in the area being SpaceX employees.

"STARBASE" serves as the launch site for SpaceX's collaboration projects with the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA, aiming to send astronauts to the Moon and even Mars.

Musk retweeted the relevant post and stated, "Texas's STARBASE is now a real city."
