South Korea will allow non-profit organizations to sell digital assets with exchanges
ChainCatcher news, according to Joseilbo, the South Korean Financial Services Commission announced that starting in June, non-profit organizations and digital asset exchanges will be allowed to legally sell their held digital assets, provided they establish internal review mechanisms and strengthen anti-money laundering checks. The cryptocurrency donation assets received by non-profit organizations must be "immediately liquidated," limited to mainstream currencies on Korean won exchanges.
At the same time, the government will implement new regulations starting June 1, requiring newly listed cryptocurrencies to have a minimum circulation volume and restricting market price orders in the early listing phase to prevent "listing pump and dump" schemes and the speculation of zombie coins and meme coins.
