OpenAI plans to expand the "Stargate" project beyond the United States

ChainCatcher news, according to the Financial Times, OpenAI plans to expand its $500 billion data center project "Interstellar Gateway" overseas from the United States, but has not yet disclosed details on project financing and implementation. OpenAI's Vice President of Global Affairs, Chris Lehaney, stated, "This investment will exceed our expectations in the United States."

Previous news, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman launched the "Interstellar Gateway" project in January this year at the White House with U.S. President Trump, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. Trump praised the plan to spend $500 billion on U.S. artificial intelligence infrastructure during his term as "a declaration of confidence in America."
