Three teenagers in Florida, USA, kidnapped at gunpoint and stole $4 million worth of cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher News: Three teenagers in Florida, USA, are facing charges for armed kidnapping and stealing $4 million worth of cryptocurrency and other digital assets. 16-year-old Belal Ashraf and Austin Fletcher, along with another teenager, are accused of crimes including robbery, kidnapping, and extortion, with Ashraf and Fletcher being tried as adults by a juvenile court judge.
Prosecutors revealed at the hearing that the third teenager is no longer in the United States. It is reported that last November, a man was kidnapped at gunpoint by three suspects after attending a cryptocurrency event in downtown Las Vegas and returning to his apartment. The suspects threatened him to cooperate, or they would harm his father, and forced him to hand over his financial account passwords. The victim was then taken to a desert area in Arizona, more than 70 miles from Las Vegas. Ultimately, the victim walked five miles to a gas station to contact a friend for rescue.
