Blinken: Trump only respects tough leaders

ChainCatcher News, former U.S. Secretary of State Blinken stated in an interview that current President Trump only respects strongman leaders.

He also mentioned that Trump now views Europe as weak and divided, urging European leaders to bravely confront the White House.

Blinken said: In my view, when Trump examines the world, he focuses on several aspects. From his perspective, he looks for strong leaders or powerful countries. To be honest, when he looks at Europe, I think he sees a continent that is not strong and not united, a weaker actor. Therefore, I believe that for Europe to gain the attention of President Trump, part of the challenge lies in demonstrating greater cohesion, higher unity, and clearer common goals, as this is how Europe will be taken more seriously.
