A New Zealand man has been arrested for allegedly defrauding $265 million in cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher news, the New Zealand police have arrested a man from Wellington in a global cryptocurrency fraud investigation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The man is accused of being involved in a cryptocurrency scam worth up to NZD 450 million (approximately USD 265 million) and faces multiple charges in a U.S. federal court, including extortion, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and money laundering.
