Analyst: Jeffrey Wilcke transferred over 105,000 ETH to Kraken and then withdrew it through a newly created address, possibly for anti-tracking purposes, or it could be a platform risk control operation
ChainCatcher news, on-chain analyst Yu Jin stated on social media that after Ethereum co-founder Jeffrey Wilcke transferred 105,737 ETH to Kraken, a similar amount of ETH (104,746 ETH) was withdrawn from Kraken through 7 addresses. There are two possibilities:
- This is Jeffrey Wilcke's operation: transferring ETH to Kraken and then withdrawing through multiple addresses, aiming to prevent subsequent tracking rather than selling these ETH.
- This is Kraken's risk control operation: after a large amount of valuable tokens flows into the trading platform, they are stored in multiple wallets to reduce single point risk.
