ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, internet celebrity Harry Welch (also known as "Hawk tuah girl") revealed in her latest podcast that she was investigated by the FBI and SEC for promoting the HAWK meme coin. After its launch, the meme coin quickly plummeted by 90%, and was labeled a "rug pull" by several cryptocurrency commentators.

Welch stated that the investigating agencies examined her phone and conducted inquiries, but ultimately found her blameless. She admitted to her lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency, saying she "trusted the wrong people," and felt guilty for the losses incurred by her fans' investments. Welch claimed she only received a marketing fee and did not profit from the coin itself.
