Coinbase discloses data breach affecting over 69,000 users
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, based on documents submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, Coinbase disclosed that in a leak incident in December 2024, the personal data of 69,461 individuals was compromised.
Coinbase previously noted that this data breach affected less than 1% of users and involved the leakage of "know your customer" (KYC) information such as names, addresses, and email addresses. The company stated in documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that passwords, private keys, and user funds were not affected.
