Metaplanet CEO: Japanese investors are indirectly investing in BTC through tax-exempt investment mechanisms to avoid taxes

ChainCatcher news, according to a post by Simon Gerovich, CEO of the Japanese listed company Metaplanet, on X, Metaplanet became the most purchased stock in the NISA accounts of Japan's largest online broker, SBI Securities, last week.

Japanese investors are using NISA, a tax-exempt investment mechanism, to indirectly invest in Bitcoin while avoiding capital gains tax. Bitcoin, zero tax burden, and leverage have become the ultimate Bitcoin proxy choice for Japanese investors.
