Alpaca Finance announced the termination of all product operations after being delisted by Binance
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Alpaca Finance announced that it will gradually terminate all product operations, planning to stop opening new positions in all liquidity pools in the first week of June 2025, and will automatically close all remaining active positions by June 30.
Previous report stated that after Binance delisted its ALPACA token in April, the token's liquidity and capital deployment capabilities were severely restricted. Coupled with the intensified competition in the current DeFi space, the decision to shut down was ultimately made. The team stated that this decision was made after careful internal evaluation, aiming to ensure the safe and orderly exit of user assets. Binance had not previously specified the reasons for the delisting, but such decisions are typically based on a combination of factors including project progress, liquidity, and team commitment.
Coingecko data shows that the price of the ALPACA token has dropped by 26.2% in the last 24 hours.
