Members of the Musk Government Efficiency Department DOGE are authorized to restructure the U.S. Department of the Interior
ChainCatcher news, according to Fortune, U.S. Interior Secretary Bergham recently authorized Elon Musk's government efficiency team (DOGE) member and Texas oil executive Tyler Hassen to restructure the department, but Hassen did not divest from energy investments or submit ethical commitment documents.
Financial disclosures show that Hassen earned nearly $4 million annually at an oil services company and holds stakes in several energy and cryptocurrency companies. Critics point out that Hassen circumvented the Senate confirmation process by adjusting his job title, and the strategic plan he promotes for the Interior Department includes accelerating fossil fuel permits and reducing regulations. Several Democratic lawmakers have called for an end to this "massive restructuring effort that violates the Vacancies Reform Act."
