TON Foundation has appointed former Visa crypto executive Nikola Plecas as Vice President of Payments, responsible for overseeing its global payment strategy

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the TON Foundation has hired former Visa cryptocurrency executive Nikola Plecas as its Vice President of Payments, responsible for overseeing its global payment strategy, including managing partnerships for TON and Telegram-based applications as well as the foundation's compliance strategy.

Plecas previously held several executive positions focused on cryptocurrency at the large payment company Visa, including Head of Cryptocurrency Business for Europe and Senior Director managing the commercialization of Visa Crypto's new products.
