ChainCatcher news, according to an official announcement, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the UK released regulatory proposals on May 28, 2025, regarding the issuance of stablecoins, the custody of crypto assets, and the financial robustness of crypto asset companies. The proposal aims to support the development of a secure and competitive cryptocurrency industry, requiring regulated stablecoins to maintain value stability and provide clear asset management information to customers.

FCA Executive Director David Geale stated that the regulator will ensure market integrity and trust while supporting innovation. The FCA will work closely with the Bank of England to develop a regulatory pathway, and the Bank of England will publish a supplementary consultation document later this year.
