Telegram issues $1.7 billion convertible bonds to restructure debt
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Telegram announced the successful issuance of $1.7 billion in five-year convertible bonds, aimed at optimizing its debt structure.
The messaging platform will use part of the raised funds to repurchase $955 million of debt maturing in 2026, while adding $745 million in new capital. This financing activity helps Telegram extend its debt maturity, improve its financial condition, and support its rapid growth strategy.
