Coinbase applies to transfer the unregistered securities lawsuit in Oregon to federal court

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Coinbase is applying to the U.S. federal court to take over the lawsuit in Oregon regarding its alleged sale of unregistered securities, on the grounds that the state is improperly interfering with federal efforts to clarify digital asset regulation.

Coinbase believes that the lawsuit initiated by Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield in April of this year is an overreach, aiming to establish a "patchwork" regulatory system that directly conflicts with the bipartisan regulatory framework currently being advanced at the federal level.
