A16z leads $17 million Series A funding for AI voice startup Toma
ChainCatcher news, according to techinasia, the AI voice startup Toma has completed a $17 million Series A funding round, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).
Toma was founded by Monik Pamecha and Anthony Krivonos in early 2024, after participating in the Y Combinator accelerator program. The company's AI voice agents are currently used in over 100 car dealerships in the United States, handling service bookings, parts orders, and customer calls, alleviating staffing issues. Toma plans to use the new funds for expansion while continuing its subscription model.
