ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 7, 2025, allowing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to access the Social Security Administration's sensitive personal information database. This decision overturned the restrictions previously set by U.S. District Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander to protect the privacy of millions of Americans.

The Supreme Court supported the Trump administration's request, enabling the DOGE office, formerly led by Elon Musk, to have full access to personal identification information in the Social Security Administration database during the appeal of the case.
