U.S. SEC Chairman: "Self-Custody Rights" are Fundamental American Values

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins hinted at a more open attitude towards self-custody during the "DeFi and the American Spirit" roundtable. He referred to "self-custody rights" as "a fundamental American value." Atkins stated, "The right to self-custody of private property should not disappear simply because one logs onto the internet. I support giving market participants more flexibility to self-custody their crypto assets."
