Riot reduces its stake in Bitfarms to 14.3%
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, American Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms sold 1.75 million shares of Bitfarms on the open market on June 9, cashing out $1.58 million at an average price of about $0.90 per share, reducing its stake to 14.3%.
This reduction is part of an investment review following a previous unsuccessful acquisition attempt. Riot stated that it will continue to evaluate its position in Bitfarms, with potential increases or decreases in the future depending on market and strategic changes.
