Trump will announce key parts of the US-UK trade agreement in a few days
ChainCatcher news, according to the Financial Times, Trump is ready to sign a key part of the US-UK trade agreement, which will lower tariffs on British car exports to the US in exchange for opportunities for American beef and ethanol producers to enter the UK market.
On May 8, Trump and Starmer signed a five-page "Economic Prosperity Agreement" during a televised news conference in the Oval Office, and a month later, the "Cars for Agriculture" agreement was signed. British officials familiar with the negotiations stated that both sides are still negotiating the part of the agreement that Starmer mentioned, which would allow UK steel manufacturers to enter the US market with zero tariffs.
