David Plouffe, a strategist for the Democratic Party, joins the Coinbase Global Advisory Council

ChainCatcher news, according to Politico, senior Democratic strategist David Plouffe will join the global advisory board of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

Plouffe has a rich background in politics and the tech industry, having served as a senior advisor to Obama's campaign and worked in the White House. In recent years, he has held advisory roles at tech companies such as Uber, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and competitor Binance. He also participated in Harris's campaign team last year.

His joining Coinbase further demonstrates the trend of the crypto industry attracting seasoned political figures.
