The Brazilian Ministry of Justice plans to procure encryption tracking software to strengthen the regulation of encrypted assets nationwide

ChainCatcher news, Brazilian authorities are seeking a software solution to track the location and movements of various cryptocurrency projects across the country. The aim of this proposal is to enhance the government's ability to combat cryptocurrency-related crimes.

The Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security has issued a contract notice seeking a solution to better discover and track multiple cryptocurrency projects and their movements over the next 36 months. The notice states that its goal is "to sign a software contract based on blockchain technology for locating, tracking, and analyzing cryptocurrency asset transactions to meet the needs of the National Secretariat of Public Security and other participating agencies." The public contract will begin accepting proposals on July 4th next year and explicitly states that these solutions will be promoted in specific cities in Brazil, including 15 of the capitals of the 27 states.
