The NEAR community initiated a proposal vote to reduce the fixed annual inflation rate of NEAR tokens from 5% to 2.5%

According to ChainCatcher news, the NEAR Protocol officials stated that the community has initiated a proposal vote to reduce the fixed annual inflation rate of NEAR tokens from 5% to 2.5%, with plans for flexible adjustments in the future.

The voting will end upon the occurrence of one of the following two conditions:

1. More than 2/3 of the staked shares cast "in favor" votes;

2. Reaching the deadline (August 1, 2025, 8:00 AM, UTC+8).
