SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: Physical Creation and Redemption of Crypto ETFs May Soon Be Realized

ChainCatcher News, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce stated that in-kind redemptions for cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) may soon be realized.

During a panel discussion at the Bitcoin Policy Institute on Wednesday, Peirce was asked whether the SEC would approve physical creation and redemption, and if this was "imminent." She responded, "These (applications) are going through the process… so I think at some point it will definitely be 'imminent.' I can't predict, but we've heard a lot of interest."
