Central Bank of Russia: Digital Ruble will be launched in September 2026

ChainCatcher news, according to Cryptonews, the Central Bank of Russia has announced that the country's central bank digital currency (CBDC) digital ruble will be officially launched nationwide on September 1, 2026. Russia's largest commercial bank is expected to offer customers a full range of CBDC trading options starting in September next year, while small and regional banks will follow in September 2027.
