German regulators deem Chinese AI service DeepSeek illegal, demanding Apple and Google to remove it

ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, a senior privacy regulator in Germany has officially notified Apple and Google that the Chinese AI service DeepSeek is in violation of German law by transferring user data to China, classifying it as illegal content. Previously, German regulators had requested in May that DeepSeek either remove its service or implement data protection measures, but the company did not respond.
