Standard Chartered: Bitcoin price expected to reach $135,000 in the third quarter
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Standard Chartered Bank is optimistic about Bitcoin's performance for the remainder of this year, expecting Bitcoin to reach a new high of $135,000 by the end of the third quarter and to break $200,000 before the end of the year.
Geoff Kendrick, Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered Bank, stated that due to strong inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and increased corporate treasury purchases, Bitcoin has broken free from the previous pattern of price declines for 18 months following a halving cycle.
Kendrick pointed out that these two driving factors were not present in previous halving cycles and are expected to support Bitcoin's price continuing to rise. Nevertheless, Standard Chartered Bank does not rule out the possibility of price fluctuations from the end of the third quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter.
