Analyst: The UK government bond market may continue to fluctuate before debt levels decline

2025-07-03 15:42:28

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, XTB Research Director Kathleen Brooks stated in a report that the UK government bond market may face greater volatility due to high levels of debt. One theme is emerging: since 2022, we have seen UK government bond yields rising more frequently, which has been a characteristic of the UK bond market since the pandemic. This volatility may continue until debt levels decrease and public sector spending rates return to pre-pandemic levels.
