A New Chapter Begins

After solidifying its position in 2023 and 2024, GM Vietnam------Vietnam Blockchain Week now enters a new chapter, defined by greater ambition, expanded scale, and the spirit of the next generation of builders in Southeast Asia.

This strategic collaboration merges two leading brands, "GM Vietnam" and "Vietnam Technology Impact Summit (VTIS)," into a flagship event: GM Vietnam------Vietnam Blockchain Week.

The GM Vietnam 2025 Summit will be held for the first time at the Hanoi National Convention Center from August 1 to 2. As the political and cultural center of Vietnam, Hanoi is the ideal location to realize the vision of this summit. The timing of the summit is also strategically significant, laying the groundwork for stakeholders to coordinate strategies and accelerate innovation, aided by recent regulatory breakthroughs and growing market momentum.

Legal Developments in Digital Assets in GM Vietnam

Vietnam has recently advanced its digital asset regulations, highlighting the government's commitment to establishing a clear legal framework that supports industry development.

In October 2024, the government announced the "National Blockchain Technology Development Strategy," which is set to be implemented in 2025. This roadmap outlines the goals of strengthening domestic infrastructure and positioning Vietnam as a regional powerhouse in blockchain applications.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly has begun reviewing the "Digital Technology Industry Law," which introduces key legal definitions for digital assets and proposes pilot projects for digital asset exchanges in major financial centers such as Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Additionally, the government has issued directives requiring the completion of a comprehensive legal framework for digital assets, including virtual assets and service providers, by May 2025.
