Ripple announces that Mercado Bitcoin will tokenize $200 million in RWA on the XRP Ledger

ChainCatcher news, according to Cryptonews, Ripple announced last Friday that the Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin plans to complete the tokenization of $200 million in real-world assets (RWA) on the XRP Ledger, including fixed income and equity assets.

Ripple's Managing Director for Latin America, Silvio Pegado, stated that this initiative demonstrates that public blockchain infrastructure is gaining the trust of institutions and becoming a reliable technological foundation for regulated financial products.
