Sources: Payment company Stripe plans to launch L1 blockchain

ChainCatcher news, according to X user @ayyyeandy, "There are rumors that the payment service provider Stripe plans to launch an L1 blockchain, rather than opting to build an L2 network like Robinhood.

There is no official confirmation yet, but I have heard this news from multiple sources (including offline and private messages). Currently, it's Robinhood vs. Coinbase, and soon, Stripe will join the fray."
