Ripple CEO will testify at the U.S. Senate Banking Committee hearing
ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that he will testify on Wednesday, July 9, at the U.S. Senate Banking Committee hearing titled "From Wall Street to Web3: Building the Future of Digital Asset Markets."
The hearing will be live-streamed and is a key part of the Senate Digital Assets Subcommittee's push for the legislative process of the "GENIUS Stablecoin Act" and the "CLARITY Market Structure Act," aimed at clarifying the regulatory division between the SEC and CFTC.
Garlinghouse emphasized on social media that it is crucial for the U.S. to establish constructive cryptocurrency market structure legislation to unlock a new era of innovation and financial opportunities while protecting consumers.
