Uzbekistan's national payment system HUMO launches government bond-backed tokens
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Uzbekistan's national payment system HUMO has announced the issuance of a government bond-backed crypto token through its subsidiary HUMO Digital.
The token has been registered in the unified electronic crypto asset registration system maintained by the National Project Office of Uzbekistan (NAPP), with oversight of the token's collateral and safekeeping provided by the Asterium crypto custodian.
The HUMO token offers instant automatic fiat conversion, no intermediary delays, lower transaction costs, and complete transparency and security based on blockchain technology. As a national payment system with over 35 million cards issued, HUMO aims to attract foreign investment, simplify business payments, and enhance financial transparency through this project.
The system has established direct relationships with global payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay, and is actively expanding integration with multiple countries including Georgia and Kazakhstan.
