ChainCatcher message, Plasma posted on X platform that its official account was taken over by external attackers today around 11:00. The team immediately activated the alert mechanism and completed a system check. The account has now regained control, and no financial risks have been detected.
Plasma founder @pauliepunt stated that the attacker allegedly modified the organization's login credentials through the X platform management backend. Relevant traces have now been cleared, and account security measures have been strengthened.
Plasma will continue to conduct a comprehensive post-incident analysis and will provide further information as it becomes available. The official statement emphasizes that its treasury assets were not affected by the incident, and they have contacted a professional security team to assist with the investigation.
