G20 officials express concerns over U.S. tariffs
ChainCatcher news, according to informed sources, on Thursday, senior finance officials from the G20 major economies expressed concerns about the impact of U.S. President Trump's high tariffs on the global economy during a meeting near Durban, South Africa.
At the end of the first day of the two-day meeting, Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso told reporters that he was worried about the uncertainty surrounding U.S. tariffs and their effects on the economy and financial markets. Aso added that tariffs are not an appropriate tool to address trade imbalances. (Japan Times)
